Colorado adds Caleb Cox in swap with Phoenix
The Crush send minor-league third baseman Eric Johnson to the Saguaros for the 26-year-old outfielder.
Colorado has added another outfielder for 2044. The Crush acquired Caleb Cox from Phoenix on November 2 in exchange for minor-league third baseman Eric Johnson.
Cox, 26, hit .267 with nine home runs and 51 RBI in 115 games for the Saguaros in 2043. His 1.3 WAR represents the major-league production changing hands in the deal.
Phoenix receives an 18-year-old infielder in Johnson. The trade gives Colorado a player with a full recent major-league season while the Saguaros add a younger player to their organization.
Social media went wild at news of the transaction, calling for league officials to "cockblock" the trade.
