Pickles bound for Dallas; Pegasi take flight in 2044

The Portland Pickles are packing for Dallas.

The club’s ownership group is relocating the franchise to Texas for the 2044 season and adopting a new name: the Dallas Pegasi. The 2043 campaign marks the end of the Pickles’ run in Portland.

Portland finished 80–82 in 2043. Carlos Gonzalez supplied 35 home runs, placing him in a tie for fourth on the league leaderboard. That season will remain a Pickles season in PABL’s records.

The franchise’s history travels with it. Results from 2043 and every earlier season will stay under Portland’s name; Dallas enters the record book beginning in 2044.

For the rest of PABL, a familiar opponent will have a new city and a new name on the schedule. The Dallas Pegasi make their debut in 2044.
