Rainmakers commit $347.2 million to Willie Ramos

Vancouver keeps its catcher with a ten-year extension after a 5.3-WAR season.

Willie Ramos is staying in Vancouver. The Rainmakers signed their catcher to a ten-year contract extension worth $347.2 million on October 29.

Ramos hit .262 with 17 home runs and 65 RBI in 124 games in 2043. His 5.3 WAR gives Vancouver a productive season to build on as it makes a decade-long commitment behind the plate.

The deal keeps an established player in place rather than bringing in a new face. For a Rainmakers club heading into another winter, the catcher’s long-term future is settled.
